Creating a Scene in the Bookstore

I am generally a quiet, respectful bookstore visitor. I speak in hushed tones, smile to myself when something is funny, sigh quietly when I read something sad.

I had a total break from character on Sunday at Barnes and Noble. My mom, my sister, and I were perusing the shelves of the Children's section when we came across the fascinating title "Dragons Love Tacos" by Adam Rubin It sounds ridiculous, I know! However, we flipped that little book open and I found myself making an absolute scene in the Children's section of the bookstore! I laughed so hard! It was a foot-stomping, tears-running-down-the-cheeks, head-back-howling sort of laughter! Proper bookstore decorum? I think not.

Now, I realize some of this silliness may have been the fun of being with family or being a little sleepy from a late night, but I think this is a really fun book for encouraging imagination! And I think even my little ones in Kindergarten will catch the silliness of the text and illustrations.

And if any of you grown-ups want to know how to host a taco party for dragons or feel like reading something silly... this is your book!
